Dr. Eric Deschênes

Dr. Eric Deschenes was diagnosed with a bilateral sensorineural hearing loss at the age of five. Growing up with a hearing loss, Eric knew from the age of nine that his ultimate goal was to become an audiologist. He obtained a BA from St. Thomas University, and then went on to obtain a BEd from the University of New Brunswick with the intention of working with children who have special needs. Eric was then accepted to the School of Human Communication Disorders, at Dalhousie University. He spent eleven years working at the Campbellton Regional Hospital as an educator for the hospital staff, teaching about the effects of hearing loss and the purpose of an accessibility program. During this time, Eric was also the National Student Representative for the Canadian Academy of Audiology. With the desire to further his studies, Eric complete his doctorate degree at and became a Doctor of Audiology. He has since branched out into the community as the owner of Bujold Audio and continues to help individuals with all of their hearing needs.
